Today’s post-trade and operation worlds operate across a myriad of different systems, practices and processes which, many agree, are long overdue some industry attention. Whilst the weight of mandatory reporting and the shadow of settlement failure penalties and mandatory buy-ins is forcing a change in behaviour, the road to efficiencies and product harmonisation continue to present many challenges. Against this backdrop, ISLA’s 10th Annual Post Trade Conference will consider how preparations for both SFTR and CSDR implementation are progressing ahead of 2020, and which drivers are influencing the industry’s choices in technology solution. Regulatory imperatives aside, can digitalisation and the deployment of smart technologies present real opportunities for efficiency in our industry, as they have in others?
Regularly attracting some 200 delegates, this is an annual event focused primarily at groups and individuals involved in the daily operational and post trade flows associated with the securities finance business. The day will be an interesting mix of keynote presentations, industry updates and panel discussions; all designed to explore the various business and regulatory drivers affecting the post-trade environment and how they might shape the future.
