Ina Budh-Raja has 20+ years of experience as a securities finance lawyer, with roles in regulatory affairs and product strategy, spanning agency lending, principal stock borrow/loan (SBL), collateral management, and reinvestment. Ina has a holistic appreciation of market drivers impacting the securities finance value chain. Leveraging knowledge of product, legal and regulatory frameworks, Ina has influenced, contributed to, and advocated for the future vision and strategic growth of the industry and represented the long-term interests of all stakeholders.
Ina’s key focus is on enhancing governance, promoting best practice, building trust in this market, and minimising regulatory and reputational risk, to ensure a sustainable, dynamic, forward-looking securities finance industry.
Ina has helped shape the Global Alliance of Securities Lending Associations (GASLA) strategy and co-chairs the ISLA ESG Steering Group.
Ina also sits on the Bank of England Money Markets Committee, Bank of England Securities Lending Committee, and co-chairs the Bank of England Money Markets Code sub-committee, drafting and embedding market best practice standards and supporting transparent regulatory engagement for this market. In parallel, Ina leads the BNY Mellon Markets’ ESG agenda globally.
As an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Ina established and co-leads Women in Securities Finance London, to promote a diverse, inclusive securities finance industry.
Ina is the Chair of the ISLA Board.
