Daniel joined Deutsche Bank (now DWS) in 2017 at the Management Company in Luxembourg. In his current role as Head of Product Development, Xtrackers, Daniel oversees the product structuring activities of the Xtrackers business, with a focus on product strategy, wrapper development, and sustainability for the index-tracking ETF range, Xtrackers active ETFs, index funds, and passive institutional mandates across EMEA & APAC.

Adrian joined ISLA in January 2019 as Head of Regulation & Markets group. In this role, he manages the associations work on regulation, technology, and market practices of the EMEA Securities Lending markets.

Adrian has over 30 years of experience in financial services including diverse roles in product development, business analysis, IT development, trading, and operations at BNP Paribas, Barclays and BNY Mellon. Prior to joining ISLA Adrian was head of product development for SFTR at IHS Market.

Shaan Jivan is a Securities Finance Data Product Specialist, focusing on fostering and maintaining client relationships. Previously a Technical Account Manager covering OTC Derivatives, he brings valuable cross-asset expertise to securities finance. Recognized as Rising Star 2024 at the Securities Finance Times Industry Excellence Awards, Shaan is actively engaged in market analysis and thought leadership, particularly on securities lending trends across emerging markets and EMEA. 

Based in Dublin, Maurice is a member of the Agency Securities Lending Client Solutions team for the EMEA region.

He has twenty years’ experience in relationship management, origination and product development remits at custodian and non-custodian lending providers. He has extensive experience in structuring securities lending and financing solutions for Asset Managers, Central Banks, Pension Funds, Insurance companies and Sovereign Wealth Funds.

Maurice is a regular speaker at institutional investor forums and an active commentator in industry publications.

He is an honours graduate of University College Dublin with both Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business Studies degrees.

Lothar Meenen joined DB as Coverage Officer for MidCaps and later MNCs in the West of Germany in 1980.

During his career Lothar was running several product functions of
i) Structured Trade and Export Finance (STEF) for Germany, CEE & Russia,

ii) Head of Trade Finance and Cash Management Corporates (TFCMC) Germany

and

iii) Global Head of Corporate Cash Management (CCM) Sales & Lending.

Next to his Coverage role for Corporates and Non Bank Financial Institutions Lothar is driving the Corporate Bank client activities in the Commodity Trader industry as well as in the Defense sector.

He has served as a member of various internal and external Supervisory Boards.

Marion Mühlberger is Head of Economic and European Policy in the Research Department of Deutsche Bank.

She is an economist by training and has been working in the analysis of pressing economic policy issues for twenty years. She has authored numerous studies on economic and trade policy topics. She advises Deutsche Bank clients at strategy days and makes her analyses accessible to the general public in a video podcast. She holds a master degrees in economics from the university of St. Gallen

Mike Rinker is Functional Legal Head of Trading in the legal department of Union Investment.

He joined the Union Investment in 2008 and covers all legal issues related to trading. As member of Union Investments Blockchain Control Committee, he also provides input in all DLT related matters. Since 2013, he provides advise to ESMA as CWG member. Mike doctorated in Giessen on a matter of exchange law and is author and co-author of legal books, essays, and a legal commentary on the German Capital Investment Code (KAGB) regarding the areas of securities lending, securities, and eligible assets. He is active member in legal and trading related working groups in England, Germany and Belgium.

Group Regulatory Strategy is concerned with the integrated positioning of Deutsche Börse Group regarding political and regulatory topics, and the integration of strategic assessments of regulatory issues and political processes on national and international level feed into the development of the group-wide strategy.

As Head of Regulatory Affairs, Marco oversees the analysis and assessment of the economic and political impact of regulatory initiatives in the national, European and global context on the company’s business strategy and outlook.

Marco represents DBG in some key fora and associations, amongst others:
– Acting Member of Management Committee of the Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE)
– Acting Member of the Consultative Committee, International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO)
– Chair of the Statistics Working Group of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE)

Prior to joining Deutsche Börse Group, Marco worked as a policy advisor in Brussels and Berlin.

He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Heidelberg.

Roy Zimmerhansl is a senior capital markets professional with over 20 years of experience in securities finance, collateral management, and post-trade infrastructure.

He has held senior roles at several leading global institutions, delivering significant growth, innovation, and operational efficiency. Roy leads the Capital Markets practice at WTS Hansuke, an established specialist consultancy, providing strategic advisory and training services focused on securities finance and related areas, and hosts well regarded industry podcasts exploring trends and developments across capital markets.

A recognised thought leader, Roy serves as Co-lead of the Securities Lending/Securities Finance Working Groups within both the UK and EU Committees, helping to shape industry responses to the transition to T+1 settlement. Previously, his broader industry contributions included serving as Vice Chair of ISLA, member of the Bank of England Securities Lending and Repo Committee, and Board Member of the Pan-Asia Securities Lending Association. His work spans traditional finance and emerging areas such as digital assets and sustainable securities lending, with a consistent focus on market evolution, risk management, and regulatory readiness.
