Gareth is Global Head of Investment and Execution within UBS Group Treasury. In his role he is responsible for Investing the liquidity portfolio of UBS, Collateral Optimization across the UBS Group and the Repo Trading book. The investment portfolio consists of investments for regulatory HQLA as well as investments of excess liquidity for the firm in a multitude of products: Repo, ECP, Cash, Bonds and TRS.

Gareth joined UBS in 2004 as a graduate after completing a Master’s Degree in Engineering at the University of Cambridge. Since then he has performed a number of roles and worked in both the London and Zurich offices.

He contributes to a number of market based forums including chairing the European Repo and Collateral Committee and also serving as a member of the Board for ICMA for UBS.

Patrick is an Executive Director within Morgan Stanley’s Prime Brokerage business and has over 18 years of experience across multiple financing products and derivatives in Europe and the MENA region. Patrick also sits on the board of the International Securities Lending Association as a Director.

Harpreet has been in the securities financing business for 17 years, and in her current position based in London, she is responsible for the management of the Trading Services Digital business as well as the Agency Securities Finance product. Her role includes strategy setting and working closely with sales and trading to deliver client solutions. She began her career in J.P. Morgan in 1999, and since joining she has held various roles. Prior to securities lending, she spent 5 years as an internal auditor for Investor Services, and before audit, she worked as a legal entity financial controller with responsibility for controls and accounting advisory. Harpreet sits on the International Securities Lending Association’s Board of Directors and is also a member of the Bank of England Securities Lending Committee. Passionate about gender diversity and inclusion, she co-leads Women in Securities Finance, London, an independent industry group which champions the advancement of women across the Securities Finance industry. Harpreet holds a first class Honours degree in Business and Financial Services.

Scott joined the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority in 2002 to facilitate the growth of the securities lending activities across equity and fixed income portfolios. The securities lending program is now embedded
with other financing products in the Core Portfolio Department that manages Beta replication and financing mandates.

Prior to that he worked at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in the Equity Financing Business and previously managed Product Development for the Agency Lending business at Deutsche Bank. He started his career at the Royal Bank of Scotland performing several roles within the Custody business before building and subsequently heading the support function for the Custody Securities Lending Desk.

Andreas is a managing director within the Treasury department of Commerzbank, responsible for intraday liquidity management and all liquidity related issues in regard to settlements and payments. In addition, Andreas coordinates a variety of strategic infrastructure projects within the bank such as instant payments and digital initiatives such as HQLAx and Fnality where tokenisation of assets and cash are in focus. Repo related improvements of collateral fluidity, scarcity and settlement efficiency are the key drivers in the above-mentioned projects.

Andreas has a long-lasting experience in Money Markets and Repo, always focusing on market infrastructure improvements and innovation.

Andreas represents Commerzbank within the ECB Money Market Contact Group, the Eurex Repo Advisory Board, the ICMA FinTec Advisory Committee and the European Repo and Collateral Council.

Ueli von Burg, Member of the Senior Management, is responsible for the centralized cash & collateral trading & management unit at Zürcher Kantonalbank.

Ueli von Burg has over 25 years of experience in the securities finance industry. He joined the Securities Lending desk at Zürcher Kantonalbank in the year of 1997 as a securities lending trader and subsequently took on more responsibility. Today Mr. von Burg is responsible for the short-term liquidity management of the overall bank, the Securities Finance business (Securities Lending & Borrowing and Repo), Swiss franc money market trading and the collateral management units (incl. OTC Derivative).

Mr. von Burg holds a degree in Business Administration, is a Certified International Investment Analyst CIIA and has completed an executive MBA at the University of Zurich.

In January 2022 Fredrik joined ISLA as a Public Affairs Advisor.

Based in Munich, Germany, Freddie will engage with all industry stakeholders supporting ISLA’s work in the EMEA region. The focus is to further develop the relationship with market regulators and policy makers in Europe advocating the role of securities lending in the financial markets. Freddie will work closely with member firms and industry organisations supporting their needs and requirements in developing the industry.

Freddie brings with him over 30 years of financial markets experience working both in trading and in senior sales roles in the securities lending industry with JP Morgan, Dresdner Bank and most recently as Global Head of Sales and Client Relationships at Deutsche Bank in London.

Alessandro Cozzani is a Managing Director and Head of Asset Optimization Group (AOG) for EMEA and APAC at Bank of America. He is globally responsible for collateral trading and funding for the Equity Division.

Alessandro leads the team responsible for funding the Equity Division as well as managing its balance sheet, capital and liquidity usage across legal entities. AOG focus on regulatory changes and requirements for the individual Lines of Business (LoB), acting as the central point of contact with Treasury and CFO Risk. Alessandro also works with Finance to implement asset and RWA targets and limits for the Equity Division. Alessandro manages and trades all these functions as a central hub, providing pricing to each LoB for their financing requirements and optimizing the Division’s inventory.

Prior to joining Bank of America in 2013, Alessandro spent 3 years at Citigroup where he headed the Americas Equity Funding Desk. Before that, Alessandro was with Morgan Stanley where he began his career working in the Equity Finance Desk.

Alessandro holds a MEng from Imperial College London. He is Deputy Chair of the International Securities Lending Association (ISLA). He is also a member of the Bank of England’s UK Money Markets Code Sub-Committee.

Adrian joined ISLA in January 2019 as Head of Regulation & Markets group. In this role, he manages the associations work on regulation, technology, and market practices of the EMEA Securities Lending markets.

Adrian has over 30 years of experience in financial services including diverse roles in product development, business analysis, IT development, trading, and operations at BNP Paribas, Barclays and BNY Mellon. Prior to joining ISLA Adrian was head of product development for SFTR at IHS Market.

Andy joined ISLA in 2013 and took over as Chief Executive in mid-2016. As well as leading our advocacy efforts with policymakers and regulators, he is also responsible for defining the aims and objectives of the Association and ensuring that we meet the needs and requirements of our member firms across Europe, Middle East & Africa. He regularly participates in panel discussions at conferences and events, representing the interests of the industry and advocating the importance of securities lending to the efficient functioning of the broader capital markets.

Prior to joining ISLA, he held senior product and account management roles across the securities finance industry including Deutsche Bank, HSBC, Prudential M&G and IHS Markit (formerly Data Explorers).

Before joining the world of capital markets, Andy worked in commercial and corporate finance banking including aerospace finance.

Jalal has over 22 years of experience in financial markets across multiple functions covering global markets and asset classes.

He is currently Head of Custody and Securities Services at SNB Capital where he has held additional roles such as Head of Trading and Sales Trading in the Securities division since 2019.

Prior to that he held positions including Head of Institutional Brokerage, Head of Treasury, Sales Trading and Portfolio Manager for various financial institutions and listed companies in the USA, UAE and Saudi Arabia during his career.

Jalal graduated with a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Virginia Tech in 2002; he previously held SEC licenses of Series 7 and 63 in the USA, various CISI licenses in the UAE and currently an active CME 1 license in Saudi Arabia.

Franziska Fischer is European Economist, based in Zurich. She covers Switzerland and Sweden and contributes to pan-European thematic research. Franziska joined UBS from Credit Suisse, where she focused on fiscal policy and the macro impact of climate change. Prior to that, she worked at the ECB’s monetary policy department. Franziska holds a MSc in Economics from the University of Cologne.

Stephen Fisher joined Deutsche Bank in 2023 as the Global Head of Government and Public Affairs.  In this role Stephen is responsible for leading Deutsche Bank’s engagement on regulatory policy and geopolitics, in the Bank’s home markets of Germany and the EU, as well as globally. 

Stephen has over two decades of regulatory policy experience, most recently at BlackRock where he spent 13 years as a senior member of the Global Public Policy Group, based in Brussels and London.  Prior to BlackRock, Stephen has worked for seven years in trade associations representing European banks and in the public sector in the UK for the then newly created Financial Services Authority (now Financial Conduct Authority) and HM Treasury.

Stephen is active in several trade associations currently holding a Board seat at the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) and has previously held advisory roles for regulatory bodies in the Middle East.  Stephen is active in local politics, serves as Trustee to a charitable body in his home town and holds Masters degrees from the University of St. Andrews and the University of London.

Ingrid Garin joined the European Bank Extended Executive Committee in January 2020. She also leads Markets, Clearing and Collateral Management business development efforts for EU27 clients. Her prime responsibility is to oversee the transition and growth of the Markets business into the European bank including oversight and proper governance of our FX sales and trading business in Frankfurt; our securities finance and liquidity/segregation product and relationship managers whilst promoting sales efforts in Continental Europe.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Ingrid held positions at JPMorgan Chase, and was a Freelance Translator.

Ingrid received her Bachelor’s Degree in Translation from the University of Mons and her Master’s Degree in International Politics from Fucam University.

Throughout her career, Ingrid has been an advocate for diversity and inclusion and is a member of the Professional Women International networking group, the Women in Finance in Brussels and of the Women in Securities Finance .

Andrew Geggus is the Global Head of Agency Lending at BNP Paribas, based in London. He has responsibility for the growth and strategic direction of the global agency lending business with a presence across EMEA, APAC and the US. Andrew is part of the Markets and Financing Executive Committee and has over 12 years’ experience in the securities finance industry.

Morten leads the Securities Lending team for NBIM, which is part of the Financing department within the broader Asset Strategies (Enhanced Indexing) investment area. His team is responsible for securities lending across the global Equities and Fixed Income portfolio. Morten started in NBIM based in Singapore as a trader in the Securities Lending team 9 years ago. Prior to this he worked as a Trading Analyst at Equinor in Stavanger and London. Under the umbrella of Securities Finance, Morten is interested in the topics of loan pricing, risk management, data analytics, automation and systems development. Morten holds a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics, with exchanges to the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and the University of Melbourne.

Brooke manages the Client Relationship Management team globally for eSecLending and is responsible for leading the firm’s service model and strategy for all client programs. She also oversees the firm’s marketing and communications group. Brooke has been in the securities lending industry and with eSecLending since its inception in 2000, when she was one of the firm’s founding members that started the business. Brooke has held various senior positions at eSecLending throughout the company’s growth including Business Development, Relationship Management and Marketing and Communications. In addition to her work with eSecLending, Brooke volunteers her time in the securities finance marketplace as well as outside of our industry. She was a founding Leadership team member for Women in Securities Finance, representing Boston as a co-Chapter Lead and she serves as company Secretary for the Global Peer Financing Association (GPFA), a non-profit business association supporting global beneficial owners. Brooke received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington.

Robert joined HOOPP in 2000 and is the Senior Managing Director, Collateral & Balance Sheet Management. His focus is on the optimization of large portfolios of collateral for both equities and fixed income assets and he has been a driving force in helping HOOPP become a global leader in both collateral and liquidity management.

In addition to his core responsibilities, Robert inspired the development of HOOPP’s in-house collateral management software (FLASH), which integrates fixed income, equities, derivatives, securities lending and borrowing, repo and FX Trading into one cohesive platform.

Robert is also the founder of the Global Peer Financing Association and currently serves as Chair of its Board of the Directors. Prior to joining HOOPP, he worked in a number of financial industry roles at HSBC, TD Securities, Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank.

Robert has a bachelor’s degree of Commerce, Accounting and Finance from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is also a member of the Canadian Fixed Income Forum.

Alistair joined ISLA in January 2024 as Director – Business Development.

Alistair is responsible for ensuring ISLA’s services meets the needs and requirements of our member firms across Europe, Middle East & Africa. Alistair leads on strengthening relationships with ISLA’s current member firms, identifying growth opportunities across the securities finance landscape, and developing services and strategic partnerships that enhance ISLA’s memberships offer.

Alistair brings extensive experience of securities lending from both a buy and sell side perspective. Before joining ISLA, Alistair was Director of EMEA Sales at Baton where he was responsible for growing Baton’s solutions in the region. Prior to Baton, Alistair built experience across financial services, working at some of the largest and most respected institutions in the world including Bank of New York Mellon, BlackRock, and UBS.

Adnan is a Managing Director and member of the Securities Services Global Executive Committee, responsible globally for Liquidity Solutions as well as Securities Lending. Adnan joined HSBC in Nov 2019 and has 20+ years of industry experience, most recently at BNP Paribas Securities Services, where he was responsible for Market & Financing Services in the U.K and was also Head of Agency Securities Lending globally. Prior to that Adnan held senior roles with RBC and CIBC.

Adnan holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Toronto and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Jack Inglis is the Chief Executive Officer of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA*), a position he has held since 2014. He has been in the financial services industry and closely involved with hedge funds for over 40 years. Jack has held senior management positions at both Morgan Stanley, where he served for 16 years, and Barclays, where he was prior to joining AIMA. From 2007 to 2010 he was CEO of London based hedge fund manager, Ferox Capital Management. He served as a non-executive director of London Capital Group plc from 2007 to 2010 and was on the on the board of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA), which was co-founded by AIMA, until the end of 2023. He began his career in 1983 at UK stockbrokers James Capel (which was subsequently acquired by HSBC) and has extensive experience in origination, distribution, financing and trading across the fixed income and equity capital markets. Jack holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Cambridge University.

Jack is also Chair of the charity HFC Help for Children UK Affiliate Board and took up this role in January 2020.

*AIMA is a not-for-profit global trade association that represents the mutual interests of the alternative funds industry, including hedge funds and private debt funds. It has over 2,100 corporate members across more than 60 countries. AIMA operates out of offices in London, New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo & Toronto.

Cassie Jones is a Managing Director at State Street serving as EMEA Head of Financing Solutions Sales and Client Management. Cassie is responsible for business development and relationship management for State Street’s agency lending, repo and principal financing products.

Previously, Cassie led the repo and collateral business development teams at State Street. She was strategically involved in the launch of State Street’s Collateral+ solution and Peer-to-Peer financing platforms. Cassie has held a number of roles in State Street’s financing division including trading, product development, business development, and analytics.

Cassie is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance.

Kara Kennedy is an Executive Director and Head of Digital Product for Securities Services. Kara has over 15 years’ experience in financial services and has been focussed on digital assets for the past 6 years. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2021, she led digital asset product management as part of the Global Custody team at BNY Mellon, following her time as Product & Innovation Manager for Depositary Receipts. Her background also includes product management experience in exchange traded products, unit trusts and secondary market trading.

Mathew is Global Head of Digital Assets. He serves as a member of the Goldman Sachs International Asset and Liability Committee and the Goldman Sachs International Bank Management Committee. Previously, Mathew was global head of Cross Asset Financing. He joined the firm as a vice president in 2005 in the European Special Situations Group in London and was named managing director in 2010. Prior to joining the firm, Mathew worked at Morgan Stanley in the Securitized Products Group, focusing on structuring, financing and risk management. Mathew is a board member of the International Securities Lending Association. Mathew earned a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance at Nottingham. He has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants since 1999.

Scott O’Malia is Chief Executive Officer of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. (ISDA), a position he has held since August 2014. At ISDA, Scott has led the Association’s drive to promote safe and efficient markets and develop industry standards and legal documentation. This includes a push to develop common standards to enable greater technology applications, bringing greater innovation through scalable fintech and regtech solutions.

ISDA is a global derivatives association that represents all derivatives users on key industry issues, including trading, clearing, reporting, margin, capital and legal standards. During Scott’s tenure, Scott has brought greater focus on market infrastructure issues – in particular, the cross-border harmonization of global central counterparty regulation, trade execution and data rules.

Prior to joining ISDA, Scott served as Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). While at the CFTC, between October 2009 and August 2014, Scott revived the Technology Advisory Committee, and led an active agenda investigating data standardization, highlighting trade execution rules and developing a better understanding of how algorithmic trading operates in regulated markets.

Ed is Managing Director, Product Development at eSecLending (Europe) Ltd. and is responsible for leading the company’s product development efforts focused on new markets, collateral and liquidity solutions and regulatory initiatives. Ed joined eSecLending in 2010 having begun his financial services career in 1988. Prior to joining eSecLending, Ed held positions at Data Explorers (now part of S&P Global), Northern Trust, Baring Asset Management and Lloyds Bank. Ed is on the Executive Committee of the Pan Asia Securities Lending Association (PASLA) and CEO of eSecLending Europe Limited.

Bryan Pascoe took over the role of Chief Executive of the International Capital Market Association in September 2021, assuming responsibility for leading ICMA’s work with its global membership of over 600 entities representing all constituent participants across all regions in the international debt capital markets. The primary mission of ICMA is to promote resilient, well-functioning and globally coherent fixed income markets through both effective regulatory advocacy and the advancement of best practice. ICMA’s mandate covers all elements of primary, secondary and repo and collateral markets with core focus also on Sustainable Finance and the application of Fintech and Digitalisation to the future of capital markets.

Prior to joining ICMA Bryan built up almost 30 years of experience across investment and corporate banking, global markets businesses and bank treasury functions in London, Hong Kong and the Middle East. Most of his previous career was spent at HSBC where he held high profile and large-scale leadership positions across both prominent front-line business areas and critical functions including Global Head of Debt Syndicate, Global Head of Debt Capital Markets, and Group Treasurer and Head of Asset, Liability and Capital Management through times of considerable market development, challenge and disruption. He has extensive direct experience of the Asia-Pacific financial and capital markets, and is a Permanent Resident of Hong Kong where he lived between 1995 and 2005.

Bryan began his career in 1992 on the Morgan Stanley Investment Banking Analyst Programme.

David is the co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer at Wematch.live, a pioneering financial technology company transforming the securities financing industry. Since joining Wematch in 2017, David has been instrumental in the company’s growth and success, serving in several key positions, including Global Head of Securities Financing and Head of EMEA.

In his current role as CRO, which he has held since September 2023, David is responsible for driving Wematch’s revenue growth and overseeing its global sales strategies. He brings extensive expertise in securities financing, sales, and revenue generation to his position.

Prior to joining Wematch, David held various leadership roles at BNP Paribas Securities Services, including Global Head of Markets Services, Head of MFS APAC, and CEO of BNP Paribas Dealing Services Asia. Additionally, David was a Director on the ISLA Board between 2013 and 2016.

Chris joined ISLA in February 2022 as a Senior Associate – Market Infrastructure & Technology within the Regulation, Digital & Market Practice group.

In this role he is responsible for supporting the Association’s important work on development of securities lending products within the Common Domain Model (CDM). The CDM is a standard codified representation of transactions, events, agreements and processes, and is a key initiative to digitally transform the industry. Chris is also the chair of our CDM working group.

Prior to ISLA, Chris held a role as a Software Engineer Specialist at FIS, with a track record of over 25 years of successful delivery in the financial services industry.

John is Managing Director and was named Global Head of Securities Finance Sales and Relationship Management for BNY Mellon Markets in January 2022. John joined BNY Mellon in 2000 and, prior to assuming his current responsibilities, held a number of business development positions within BNY Mellon’s Markets, Global Collateral Services, Broker/ Dealer Services, Global Client Management and Securities Industry Banking divisions.

Joined J.P. Morgan in 2010 within the Commodities group, moving to Prime Finance in 2012 and have spent time in both in London and New York.

Vladislav joined Société Générale in 2006, first as a Head of Tax Operations – France team within the Societe Generale Securities Services department and afterwards held several positions within the SG CIB – Global Markets as Structured Products Engineer, Senior VP within the Scarce Ressources Group and Director Global Markets – Equity Derivatives.

Vladislav belongs to the Global Markets division within SGCIB, covering regulatory, tax and legal topics.

Vladislav is a Co-Chair of the Tax Committee of ISLA, permanent member of the Tax Committees of ISDA & AFME and a regular attendant to industry forums and discussions.  

Georgia has over eight years of experience in the securities finance industry, starting her career as an apprentice at JPMorgan in 2015. During her time at JPMorgan, she specialised in product solutions, playing a key role in reviewing intricate tax legislation and establishing strong controls. Transitioning to Deutsche Bank’s Client Management team in December 2023 based in London, Georgia is now focusing on driving client solutions and supporting the business with product strategies.

Passionate about fostering inclusivity in the workplace, Georgia is actively involved in initiatives such as Women in Securities Finance and sits on the ISLA DE&I working group.

Anna de Winton is a Vice President at BNP Paribas Securities Services working in product development for our Agency and Principle Lending businesses. Previously she led a number of regulatory and change programmes for the BNP Paribas equity finance and prime business. Anna has 20 years’ experience in the sector covering roles in the private sector and at the Financial Services Authority and Bank of England, and joined BNP Paribas in 2017. Anna holds a degree in Economics from Durham University. Anna is also chair of the ISLA Regulatory Steering Group.

Boaz has 20 years of experience in capital markets, from derivatives trading to portfolio management in banks and leading European hedge funds. During that time, Boaz discovered the inefficiencies and inequalities in the securities lending market and developed his vision from which Sharegain was born.
