We take the initiative in sponsoring and promoting the equitable participation of all delegates in our working groups and associated streams. Our policy is to explore alternative candidates in pursuit of a diverse mix of panellists, speakers and moderators at all of our industry events.

Bank of England
The UK Money Markets Code, originally published in 2017, sets out best practice in the unsecured, repo and securities lending markets in the UK. It was written by market participants from across all sectors, and is owned by the Bank of England’s Money Market Committee (MMC). Members of the committee are drawn from a wide range of those active in the UK money markets, including ISLA’s CEO, Andrew Dyson.
The MMC has considered how money markets have evolved since the original Code was published, and the key findings have been incorporated into a 2021 update to the Code written by market participants. The updated Code has been recognised as an industry standard by the FCA.
ISLA was instrumental in the drafting of the original Code as well as the recent update, and is delighted to see the addition of new areas such as Diversity and Inclusion, Working from Home, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Criteria.

Aligned to this, ISLA was delighted to be part of a series of sessions in April 2021 organised by the Bank of England for their ‘meeting varied people’ initiative.
