T+1

The T+1 Working Group (formerly known as the Accelerated Settlement (T1) Working Group), has been reopened in January 2026, as a subgroup of the Market Practice Steering Group (MPSG).

Its mandate is to review the challenges, costs, outcomes, potential benefits and impact to securities lending of financial markets moving from T+2 to T+1 in the United States of America, the European Union and United Kingdom.

The group will also be required to respond to requests for information and data from regulators and their respective taskforces and all work will be reported up to the MPSG.

Members can view ISLA T+1 Working Group minutes below.

Note: Between September 2024 – January 2026 the Accelerated Settlement (T1) working group was merged back into the MPSG, minutes during this time can be found on the Market Practice Steering Group (MPSG) page or are available on request to regtech@islaemea.org.

Frequency: Regular
Requirement: Member firms can apply to join the group, however regular attendance and active participation in relevant meetings is a prerequisite (ISLA reserves the right to modify attendance based on the current composition).
