ISLA Publishes Freshfields Belgian Law Bankruptcy Remoteness Opinions to Support the GMSLA Security Interest over Collateral Agreement

ISLA is delighted to announce the release of the final bankruptcy remoteness opinion, Freshfields Opinion – Belgian Law (BNYM SA/NV), to complete the documentation suite that supports the Global Master Securities Lending Agreement (GMSLA) (Security Interest over Collateral – 2018 Version).

ISLA appointed Freshfields in November 2018 to provide the opinions upon the request of the ISLA Legal Steering Group (LSG), for the benefit of all ISLA members.

The Association is pleased that it was able to act on the recommendation of the group to further the development of the ISLA Pledge documentation.
