Kathleen has spent 19 years at Goldman Sachs, holding various Operations roles in Fixed Income, Treasury and Funding, before moving on to her current role, running EMEA collateral management for the Corporate Treasury division. She has served as member of the ISLA Executive Operations Board and the ECB’s AMI-SeCo Collateral Management Harmonization Taskforce. Kat holds a BBA in Finance, from Loyola University in Maryland.

Olly spent over two decades at Goldman Sachs. He ran funding, balance sheet and short term interest rate trading and repo desks globally before leaving GS in 2015. Since then, Olly has been an active investor in Fintech start-ups and is a co-founder and advisor to HQLAx.

Melanie has worked at UBS for the last 4 years in the dynamic and fast-paced Investment Banking COO team, where she specialises in project and regulatory initiative implementation. She has worked on numerous complex regulatory projects whilst at UBS, with a recent highlight being the Derivatives Regulatory Reform (DRR) program where she led the bank’s efforts in the Uncleared Bilateral Margining project initial margin calculation (ISDA SIMM) and functional readiness. Melanie previously worked at JP Morgan for 8 years and has Bachelors Hons. in Risk Management from the University of the North West (Potchefstroom, South Africa). Presently, Melanie heads up the SFTR and EMIR Refit program and manages the programme across the IB with divisional colleagues in IT, Ops and Legal to ensure best practice applies across UBS.

Senior Visiting Fellow at the ICMA Centre at the University of Reading in England and Senior Consultant to the ICMA. Richard is author of the ICMA’s Guide to Best Practice in the European Repo Market, including its forthcoming SFTR Annex, and Repo FAQs as well as director of the ICMA semi-annual survey of the European repo market. He is also course director for the ICMA’s annual Professional Repo Market & Collateral Management Course, the ICMA-ISLA GMRA-GMSLA Legal and Documentation Workshop, the one-day Intensive Repo Workshop and the SFTR Workshop. Richard also acts as a repo expert for the IMF, Asian Development Bank and other development organizations, advising on the creation and reform of repo and money markets in emerging markets. He served for 10 years in the Bank of England, including the Bank’s Foreign Exchange Division and on secondment to the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC.

Valentina joined Euroclear in 2018 as Product Sepcialist for Collateral Management based in London. Prior to her current role she was at BNP Paribas Securities Services where she joined as a fixed income trader for their Agency Lending desk in 2012 and then Head of the Agency Lending trading in 2013. She also held a role at LCH.Clearnet for their Repoclear division in 2011 and a Repo Trader/Sales role at Mitsubishi UFJ between 2007 and 2011. She holds a Masters Degree in Finance and Accounting.

Adrian Dale joined ISLA in January 2019 and is Director, Regulation & Market Practice. In this role, his focus is on all regulatory matters that impact Securities Lending and the technical processes that support and underpin that market.

He has over 30 years of experience in financial services including roles in product development, business analysis, trading, operations and IT development. Prior to joining ISLA, Adrian headed up product development and relationship management of the SFTR product at IHS Markit.

Sunil is currently Senior Consultant for securities lending solutions at MarketAxess, with a particular focus on the firm’s new SFTR solution. He joined MarketAxess from Northern Trust, where he was most recently Head of the International Securities Lending business. In the years prior to this, he held a number of senior roles at Northern Trust, including head of Sales & Relationship Management for Capital Markets in EMEA and APAC. He has served on numerous securities finance industry associations across those regions, most notably holding the position of Chairman of PASLA (Pan Asian Securities Lending Association). He is regularly quoted as an expert on securities lending and regulatory change.

Andy joined ISLA in 2013 and took over as Chief Executive in mid-2016. As well as leading our advocacy efforts with policymakers and regulators, he is also responsible for defining the aims and objectives of the Association and ensuring that we meet the needs and requirements of our member firms across Europe, Middle East & Africa. He regularly participates in panel discussions at conferences and events, representing the interests of the industry and advocating the importance of securities lending to the efficient functioning of the broader capital markets.

Prior to joining ISLA, he held senior product and account management roles across the securities finance industry including Deutsche Bank, HSBC, Prudential M&G and IHS Markit (formerly Data Explorers).

Before joining the world of capital markets, Andy worked in commercial and corporate finance banking including aerospace finance.

Sabine Farhat is Head of Securities Finance Product Management at Murex. She leads the MX.3 product evolution for Repo, Stock Loan, Buy/Sell Backs, and the full synthetics offering. Her recent work has focused on preparing the securities finance solution for physical and synthetics to the new market demands by enhancing the whole value chain front to back to risk for high-volume straight through processing offering and continuously focusing on SFTR regulation. Sabine holds a master’s degree in Management of Financial Institutions from Université Paris Dauphine.

Mark has an established track record in bringing transparency to rapidly-developing areas of financial services. Alongside his business partner Donal Smith, he co-founded Credit Benchmark in 2013. Credit Benchmark, the world’s most comprehensive source of consensus risk data, provides credit data and analytics on 50,000 + entities, more than 75% of which are unrated by the Credit Rating Agencies (CRAs). By aggregating and anonymizing credit views from 40+ of the world’s leading financial institutions, Credit Benchmark provides a unique view on counterpart creditworthiness.
In 1994, Mark spotted an opportunity to provide customers in the securities financing industry with independent specialist advice and services. The company he founded, Data Explorers, became the leading provider of securities lending data across all global market sectors, and was acquired by IHS Markit in 2012. Mark graduated from the London School of Economics and held management roles at LM Moneybrokers, Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers.

Michelle Gray is the Operations executive for the J.P. Morgan Agency Lending Program based out of Bournemouth, covering teams globally.
Michelle has 20 years of operational experience within the Agency Lending business, with expertise spanning Corporate Actions, Settlements, Collateral , and Strategic change. Michelle is a member of ISLA Executive Operations Committee

Andy Hill is a Senior Director in ICMA’s Market Practice and Regulatory Policy group, where he oversees the association’s work on corporate bond secondary markets and, since 2019, also ICMA’s work related to repo and collateral. He is secretary to ICMA’s Secondary Market Practices Committee and previously was a member of the European Commission’s Expert Group on Corporate Bond Market Liquidity. Prior to joining ICMA in 2014, Andy was a repo and money market trader for seventeen years, for ten years of which he was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs. He has also worked as a consultant in the Aid and Development sector, primarily based in Cambodia, and previously served on the Board of the Cambodian NGO Education Partnership in Phnom Penh while on a Goldman Sachs Public Service Fellowship. Andy holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Studies from Cass Business School and an MSc in Poverty Reduction and Development Management from the University of Birmingham.

His current role includes facilitating and managing the adoption of international standards such as ISO 20022 by the financial market participants and regulators to comply with regulatory reporting requirements as well as addressing impacts from regulation on the financial market operations.
He is also responsible for the reference data standards and is managing the BIC standard registration authority role.
He led the LEI initiative from the early stages of developing the standard through to the implementation in partnership with DTCC of the largest accredited LEI issuer to date (the GMEI Utility).
He has more than 15 years of experience in reference data management and ISO data standards across both operations and marketing. Previous experiences include delivering different strategic financial industry wide initiatives and Group Treasurer. Prior to joining SWIFT, he worked at Societe Generale. Belgian.

Pierre Khemdoudi is a Managing Director and Global Co-head of Equities, Data and Analytics products at IHS Markit

His responsibilities include securities finance data and regulatory reporting, ETF and index aggregation (DeltaOne), and dividend forecasting. He has a proven track record in securities finance and DeltaOne internationally, delivering customizable, timely and accurate solutions for the investment management community. Mr Khemdoudi spent ten years at BNP Paribas Arbitrage in a number of senior positions across Paris, New York, Tokyo and London prior to joining IHS Markit (previously Markit) in February 2013. These included, head of London securities finance trading and head of Tokyo securities lending. He began his career working in aerospace engineering.

With 25 years in the securities finance and collateral management industry, David has extensive experience working in banks as well as technology companies, including a well-known and successful start-up data provider. The range of roles, combined with the breadth of experience in client facing positions, has provided David with a unique perspective on the securities finance market. Now with FIS as Global Head of Astec Analytics and Regulatory SME for the Securities Finance Business, David continues to work across client and technology boundaries to help move the industry forward. Also, as part of the FIS management team driving our developments in the SFTR space, David is heavily involved in the ISLA, ICMA and vendor working groups that are working together to help the industry successfully meet the requirements of SFTR.

Jonathan Lombardo is member of the Deutsche Boerse Fixed Income Funding & Financing Sales team. He is responsible for sales and relationship management and is leading the securities lending initiative with a focus on Eurex Clearing’s Lending CCP – its Central Counterparty service for securities lending. Jonathan has over 25 years’ experience in the securities lending market and has had previous roles at Citi, Secfinex and Pirum. Jonathan is presently serving as Chair of ISLA.

Sachin Mohindra has over 14 years of extensive experience at Goldman Sachs, where he has covered a variety of cross-product post-trade roles including securities settlement, client middle office and trading control. Sachin is now responsible for European securities post-trade business development at Goldman Sachs. Sachin is the co-chair of the AFME Post-Trade Transaction, Clearing & Settlement Committee and CSDR Task Force. Sachin is an active member of the ICMA, ISLA and Cross-Industry CSDR working groups. He has also co-chaired the AFME T+2 Task Force and lead the publication of the industry-wide AFME TARGET2-Securities (T2S) recommendations paper. Sachin is also an advisory board member at EuroCCP and participates in various LCH working groups. Sachin holds an Honours degree in Computer Science and Management from the University of Edinburgh.

James Montgomerie is the EMEA Head of Securities Lending Operations and Head of Financing & Collateral Operations (Glasgow) at Morgan Stanley. He initially studied Finance, Risk & Investment at Glasgow Caledonian University, achieving a First Class Honours.

Since joining Morgan Stanley in 2005 on an Internship programme, James has worked across a variety of Operations teams, spanning all areas of the Post Trade environment – ranging from Settlements to Reconciliations, Trade & Sales Support to Client Services. Throughout his tenure, James has supported a variety of products which have included Equities, Derivatives, Repo and Securities Lending.

Externally at an industry level, James is a member of the International Securities Lending Association (ISLA) Executive Operations committee, Chair of the ISLA CSDR and Best Practice Paper Working Groups, and a member of the Equilend Post Trade Sub-group.

Thomas Pikett is responsible for the SFTR programme within J.P. Morgan Agency Securities Lending and currently sits on both the ISLA SFTR Steerco as well as the ICMA SFTR Taskforce. Prior to J.P. Morgan, he was responsible as Business Manager for the SFTR solution at MarketAxess. He has also held various roles at The Royal Bank of Scotland and Euroclear. Mr Pikett graduated from The University of Sheffield with a degree in Politics.

Keshava Shastry is a Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets for DWS managing trading eco-system partnerships and assisting clients in asset allocation implementation as well as the market structure and regulatory coordination. He joined Deutsche Bank group in 2013 from Credit Suisse where he was Head of Capital Markets and he worked at BGI/BlackRock prior to that. He has been in the asset management industry for more than 12 years after trading various asset classes (fixed income, fx, derivatives) for many years on the sell side. Keshava has a Masters degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Imperial College London and is a CFA charter-holder.

Raj joined Pirum in 2003 as COO and has been in the role of CEO since 2014. He started his career in technology as a software programmer and progressed to running IT teams and departments within investment banks. Prior to working at Pirum, Raj held IT programme management positions at UBS supporting both Cash Equities and OTC products; his last role was head of cash equity post-trade IT. Before this, Raj was head of Prime Broker IT at Lehman Brothers delivering front office and client technology solutions.
